Notes for Thursday Oct 20th

When you write about identity think about the following:

Your first paragraph should include what is identity and what influences identity(very generally)
Give a brief background statement as to how these stories etc are connected to identity.
Then you will want to transition to your next paragraph.

Over several paragraphs write about what authors do to make characters relatable.

What do authors do to create characters identity that you can identify with?

How do you see, feel, their identity? What makes them seem real?

How have the characters been shaped so you ”feel” for them?

As you write you need to bring in specific evidence from the text to support and explain what you are trying to say. To do this you bring in quotes/ examples.
Point
Evidence
Explain

Remember everyone always has to PEE.

After you have done that you want to conclude your writing. You sum up the factors that help make them real and you connect back to your intro.
